NPR’s All Things Considered had Howard Dean on last week to discuss the delegate issue. If all you remember about him from 4 years ago is the so-called “Dean Scream”, you may be surprised to find that he is both calm and reasonable, and stresses patience as we continue through the primaries. He especially makes an interesting characterization that super delegates are not party hotshots; they look like America, look like the Democratic Party. As DNC chair, Dean is responsible for the 50-state strategy that helped Democrats win across the country in 2006.
